The sporting culture is a large part of the rich tradition of our region. Melissa firmly believes that the Second Amendment guarantees an individuals right to own and use firearms. Melissa was a lead co-sponsor of legislation that stopped frivolous lawsuits against gun manufacturers that would bankrupt the businesses and kill jobs as well as limit access to American firearms. Melissa will also work to protect our land, so Americans can share our hunting, fishing and hiking traditions for generations to come. She also supports legislation that would ensure that public lands are made available for hunting.
